My broadcasting partner Orville Susong and I had the opportunity to talk with the Mustangs head coach Tyler Murray about the uniforms.

Coach Murray said he knows Craig well, having taught her son at Merritt Island High School a few years ago. He told us, “We got together with her, and she helped come up with some designs.” The finished product looks spectacular!

Coach Murray said his players really liked wearing the space jerseys, and he anticipates doing this every year. He said the close ties Merritt Island has with the space industry makes this a natural thing to do.

To top things off, on the night of the Sidus Space game, one minute after kickoff, SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket from Launch Complex 40 at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Coach Muray told us with a chuckle that he ordered the launch for his team!
