BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Yesterday, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office along with our partners from the Cocoa Beach Police Department, Melbourne Police Department, Cocoa Police Department, Titusville Police Department, Palm Bay Police Department, Indialantic Police Department, West Melbourne Police Department, Melbourne Beach Police Department and Rockledge Police Department held the 9th Annual “Reverse Christmas Parade” in various locations throughout Brevard County.

The “Reverse Christmas Parade” is held each year to help obtain donations of unwrapped Christmas Toys that are then given to kids in need during the Christmas Season by the various Law Enforcement agencies throughout Brevard County.

This year’s event collected thousands of toys from local businesses and citizens that lined the streets waiting for the parade to travel by so they could do their part to help those that are less fortunate.

Yesterday’s effort is another great example of how our citizens and Law Enforcement Officers partner together to make Brevard County such an awesome and amazing place to call home.

I would like to personally thank all of the businesses and citizens who came out to support the event, and of course all of the Law Enforcement Agencies and volunteers who helped make the event such a tremendous success!
