WATCH: SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket carrying 23 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket carrying 23 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

The rocket carrying the Starlink spacecraft was launched from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station at 7:05 p.m. EDT.

The first stage of a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket landed on the droneship “Just Read the Instructions” stationed in the Atlantic Ocean about eight minutes after liftoff.

The rocket’s upper stage deployed the Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit about 65 minutes after launch from the Cape.

In addition to this launch, SpaceX will launch another Falcon 9 with a payload of broadband satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base at 10:13 p.m. EDT.

This was the 22nd orbital mission for SpaceX this year, and plans to launch 144 times in 2024.
