BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – The Viera boys soccer head Coach Nick Robinson and team captains spoke ahead of their third straight FHSAA State Championship appearance and how they plan on defending their title against South Broward on Saturday.
The defending state champion Viera Hawks will have a chance to become back-to-back state champions as they get ready to face South Broward on Saturday, March 2 at Spec Martin Stadium.
The match is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
The No. 4 seed Viera Hawks have a 22-2 overall record.
How they got here:
■ The Hawks cruised past Lake Gibson 5-1 in the regional quarterfinals
■ In the regional semifinals Viera defeated Dwyer 4-0
■ Viera clinched a State Semifinals berth after defeating New Smyrna Beach 1-0
■ Most recently, the Hawks clinched their third State Championship after defeating Niceville 2-1
