AVET Project to Honor America’s Past and Present Military Women During Event at Brevard Zoo June 12

Celebrated June 12 in recognition of the 1948 Women’s Armed Services Integration Act

AVET Project, an all volunteer nonprofit, is hosting AVET Project’s Military Women Celebration Luncheon to honor America’s past and present Military Women on June 12.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – AVET Project, an all volunteer nonprofit, is hosting AVET Project’s Military Women Celebration Luncheon to honor America’s past and present Military Women on June 12.

The event is from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Nyami Nyami River Lodge located at Brevard Zoo.

Celebrated each year on June 12 in recognition of the anniversary of the 1948 Women’s Armed Services Integration Act signing, 2024 is particularly significant as it is the 76th Anniversary of that groundbreaking legislation for America’s military women, granting women a permanent place and an opportunity for a career in the nation’s military.

On this special day is designated to honor America’s military women, past and present.
