The Central Florida Council, Boy Scouts of America is proud to announce the upcoming Golden Eagle Dinner, an esteemed annual fundraising event that brings together Brevard County’s foremost corporate and community leaders alongside local philanthropists.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Central Florida Council, Boy Scouts of America is proud to announce the upcoming Golden Eagle Dinner, an esteemed annual fundraising event that brings together Brevard County’s foremost corporate and community leaders alongside local philanthropists.

This year they will honor Jim Barfield and Robin Fisher.  The event will be held on April 9 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Radisson at the Port.

The Golden Eagle Dinner serves as a platform for recognizing outstanding community leaders and their remarkable achievements to our community.

Attendees can anticipate an inspiring and celebratory gathering that underscores the importance of supporting the values and initiatives championed by the BSA. All generated proceeds from the event contribute to the support and advancement.

Luke & Associates, Inc. (Luke), founded in 2004 by Jim and Rich Hall, specializes in staffing military medical treatment facilities globally, prioritizing direct care for troops and families. Guided by core principles of integrity and efficiency, Luke swiftly gained acclaim, securing major contracts with the US Air Force, Army, Navy, and VA.

By 2011, Luke boasted a workforce of over 1,500 across 75 sites worldwide, earning recognition as one of America’s fastest-growing companies. Following the sale of Luke in December 2022, Jim retired in August 2023 to focus on philanthropic endeavors. Currently, he serves on the boards of several esteemed organizations, including the Junior Achievement of the Space Coast and the Brevard Zoo.

Robin L. Fisher, a seasoned State Farm Insurance Agent with over 37 years of experience, has cemented his legacy as a stalwart advocate for both his customers and his community.

Beginning his insurance career, Fisher’s unwavering commitment to customer service has been the cornerstone of his professional journey. Beyond his role as an insurance agent, Fisher has dedicated himself to public service, serving two terms as District 1 Commissioner on the Brevard County Board of County Commissioners, including a tenure as Chair.

His leadership extends to various local government positions, including the Palm Bay City Council, Titusville City Council, and Vice-Mayor of Titusville, showcasing his deep-rooted dedication to the betterment of Brevard County.

In addition to his public service, Fisher’s community involvement spans multiple organizations, including the United Way Board of Directors, Brevard Community College Board of Trustees, and the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast. Notably, he served two terms as Chair of the Central Florida YMCA Board, overseeing operations across six counties and 26 locations.

Fisher’s exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment have earned him numerous distinguished awards and recognition, underscoring his significant contributions to economic development, business excellence, and community enrichment throughout Brevard County and beyond.
