BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The City of Melbourne is seeking public input on how to improve New Haven Avenue between Front Street and Livingston Street.

“We have retained Inspire Placemaking to develop a new conceptual design for New Haven Avenue that will include improvements to the roadway, sidewalks, lighting, trees, landscaping, and utilities and infrastructure,” said a City of Melbourne spokesperson.

Security and safety will also be addressed, including how to safely accommodate future changes in traffic as our area continues to grow.

A City of Melbourne spokesperson said they are actively seeking input from community members and encourage anyone with an interest in Downtown Melbourne to participate in this process.

An interactive public workshop will be held at Front Street Civic Center on July 12, 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. You can also share your ideas and preferences in our online survey.

If you have questions, call the Community Development Department at 321-608-7500.
