Three Florida Tech Rowing Team Members Named IRCA Scholar-Athletes

Varsity 4+ took fourth place at the IRA Championship

Three members of the Florida Tech men’s rowing team have been named IRCA Scholar-Athletes, as announced by the Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches Association on Tuesday. (Florida Tech image)

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Three members of the Florida Tech men’s rowing team have been named IRCA Scholar-Athletes, as announced by the Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches Association on Tuesday.

Earning the distinction for the Panthers are Elizabeth Bowman (Applied Behavior Analysis), Justin Woodyard (Aerospace Engineering), and Arnedas Kelmelis (Global Management and Finance). Woodyard earns the honor for the second straight year.

In order to be named a Scholar Athlete, rowers must be in their second year of eligibility, maintain a 3.5 GPA or better, and have competed in the program’s top three boats during the season or raced at the 2023 IRA Championship.

Florida Tech’s Varsity 4+ took fourth place at the IRA Championship.
