Complaint Filed in Federal Court Against USSSA Officials, Headquartered at Space Coast Stadium Complex in Brevard County

Two former United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) executives recently filed a 91-page Complaint against USSSA officials in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida Orland Division. Founded in 1968, USSSA moved its headquarters to Brevard County’s Space Coast Stadium complex in 2017, which was the former Spring Training home of the Florida Marlins and Washington Nationals.

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – Two former United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) executives recently filed a 91-page Complaint against USSSA officials in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida Orland Division.

The Complaint cites RICO act violations including illegal gambling, embezzling a non-profit’s funds, illegal drug use, violation of IRS reporting, violation of federal non-profit rules and intrastate fraud.

Founded in 1968, USSSA moved its headquarters to Brevard County’s Space Coast Stadium complex in 2017, which was the former Spring Training home of the Florida Marlins and Washington Nationals.

USSSA is the world’s largest multi-sport athletic organization and has more than 4 million participants competing across multiple nationally sanctioned sports, including baseball, fastpitch and slowpitch softball, basketball, golf, and lacrosse. USSSA maintains a network of more than 3,500 directors who oversee USSSA-sanctioned sporting events and provide support for USSSA athletes and participants.
