Eastern Florida State Forward Owen Aquino Earns First Team NJCAA All-America Honors

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball player Owen Aquino was named to the first team NJCAA Division I All-America Team on Tuesday.

The forward from Madrid, Spain averaged 14.9 points and 8.3 rebounds to go with 4.4 assists per game for the Titans.

Aquino scored 463 points and had 257 rebounds and 136 assists with 69 blocked shots this season, starting all 31 games for the Titans.

The sophomore is the fourth first-team All-America player in program history and the first since Kareem Brewton in 2017. He becomes the 16th player in program history to be named an NJCAA Division I All-America player.

Aquino finished his two seasons with Eastern Florida State College with 605 points and 455 rebounds to go with 226 assists and 95 blocks. His 455 rebounds are the third-highest in program history.
