Eastern Florida State Soccer Players Morgan Gamin, Daiki Okada Named Athletes of the Week

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – A pair of Eastern Florida State College student-athletes excelled on the soccer field and are the Orlando Health Student-Athletes of the Week for the week ending September 3.

Men’s soccer player Daiki Okada tied a school record, scoring six times and assisting two others during the Titan’s 17-1 victory over the University of Fort Lauderdale.

Then on Sunday Okada had an assist in the men’s soccer team’s 6-1 win over USC Lancaster. For the week, the freshman from Hyogo, Japan had six goals and three assists.

Women’s soccer player Morgan Gamin had two goals in the Titan’s 5-1 victory against No. 15 Laramie County Community College on Sunday night. Gamin scored her first of two goals nine minutes into the contest and added a second one in the second half.

The sophomore from Satellite Beach has five goals in two games this season for the Titans.

Both the men’s and women’s soccer teams will travel to Panama City Beach for games against LSU-Eunice in neutral site matches on Friday.
