BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Heritage Panthers class of 2026 four-star athlete Demetres Samuel Jr. announced his commitment to Syracuse University on Sunday.

The class of 2026 ATH received nearly 20 offers and chose the Orange over the University of Florida, Minnesota, and Nebraska.

Samuel Jr. can do it all. Last season he saw action on offense, defense, and special teams. In 2023 he concluded his sophomore campaign with 5 interceptions and 440 purpose yards.

Samuel Jr. is ranked among the Top 80 Recruits in his class and is the fourth-ranked ATH according to On3.
