BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne Main Street presents the 2023 Candlelight Shopping Events in Downtown Melbourne on Dec. 2, 9 and 16, and visitors are invited to stroll the historic district, shop, dine and enjoy the festivities taking place in concert with the local businesses.
“Downtown Melbourne comes alive for the holidays! You are invited to shop local during extended hours while enjoying our beautiful, historic backdrop. Our stores, galleries, restaurants, and other businesses are ready to welcome you and help get you into the holiday spirit,” said Kim Agee, Executive Director for Melbourne Main Street.
“From chances to visit Santa Claus, to sidewalk performers and to storefronts decorated for the holidays, there is something for all ages.”
Melbourne Main Street and the Downtown Melbourne community have come together to create a “Magical Main Street” for all to enjoy. There are ten businesses competing for the Best Window Decoration, you are encouraged to see the windows in person, and vote on Facebook for your favorite.
On the evening of Dec. 2, you are invited to listen to the Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy Orchestra. They will be performing on the patio at the former Matt’s Casbah on the corner of Waverly Place and New Haven Avenue. On Saturday, December 9th Melbourne Main Street will be showing holiday favorite movies on this patio for you to enjoy in between your shopping and strolling.
Live musical performances, Santa Claus, Snow Flurries, art exhibits, complimentary golf cart rides and so much more- add Downtown Melbourne to the list of your holiday plans this season.

4:00 pm – 8:00 pm – Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy Orchestra: String ensemble of 12 playing a mixture of professional-level classical and Christmas fun pieces. Performances will take place on the patio located at the former Matt’s Casbah.
5:00 pm – 8:00 pm – Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy Chorus: Strolling choir and some music honor society groups caroling.
4:00 pm – 8:00 pm Catch a glimpse of Santa Claus as he strolls Downtown Melbourne visiting businesses.
4:00 pm – 8:00 pm – Indialantic Chamber Singers will stroll DTMB and perform in and out of businesses.
4:30 pm – 7:30 pm – Ricky T will be playing music at Sendala’s in the 909 Arcade.
4:00 pm – 8:00 pm – Mike McLean – Enjoy his Holiday Performance on the corner of New Haven and Municipal.
