BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened early Monday morning on North Wickham Road that claimed the life of a 83-year-old Melbourne man.
Police identified the man as Frank Anthony Tantillo, 83, from Melbourne.
The investigation has so far revealed that the man was traveling on North Wickham Road, near Business Center Boulevard at approximately 6:38 a.m. on Monday when the driver of a convertible BMW attempted to make a left turn onto Business Center Boulevard to travel east from southbound Wickham Road.
Police say the BMW violated the right of way of the Mercedes SUV traveling north on Wickham Road.
Tantillo was taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead..
Police it does not appear that alcohol, nor drugs, were a factor in the crash.
The driver of the car is identified as Kendall Bradley Rigdon, 57, from Merritt Island.
