(NASA) – NASA has selected three Brevard County companies for a multiple award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to fabricate ground support equipment at the agency’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Engraver Metal Fabricators Inc. is located on Merritt Island in a 35,000 square-foot facility and was established in 1964. Situated in the heart of the Space Coast, about 15 miles from Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral. EMF supplies custom fabricated products for commercial and government industries. Engraver Metal Fabricators employs more than 110 full-time team members, including a design engineering staff, quality assurance, quality inspection, welders, machinists, configuration control, logistical and procurement support.

J.P. Donovan Construction Inc. of Rockledge is a third generation contractor and a highly respected firm receiving much of its business based on its outstanding quality of work, its integrity and the ability to complete a project safely, on time and within budget while meeting demanding performance requirements. J.P. Donovan typically self-perform construction work that is within its specific core competencies, including concrete, earthwork, civil/site work, underground piping/utilities, process piping, pneumatics, cryogenics, painting, structural foundation systems and large precision structural elements

Precision Fabricating and Cleaning Co. Inc., located in Cocoa and founded in 1964, was honored by United Launch Alliance as the Most Innovative Supplier of the Year Award. PFC is an innovative company that accomplishes a wide range of precision cleaning, fabricating, and refurbishment tasks through approved processes, an effective quality management system, modern technology, state-of-the-art equipment, and highly qualified personnel. The company played its part in America’s moon journey and precision cleaned NASA’s piping, tubing, and other ground support components. Also, the company also fabricated fluid control and distribution panels.

The work will support Artemis, including missions to land humans on the Moon. The contractors will provide management, labor, facilities, materials, equipment, and other incidental support to fabricate, mark, package, deliver, clean, assemble, and test ground support equipment, ground systems, and other hardware.

Work will be performed at the contractors’ facilities, delivering most end items to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. Each contract will have a three-year ordering period for issuing delivery orders. The maximum aggregate contract value is $100 million.
