OBITUARY: Cocoa Beach Resident Elizabeth Lundeen, 68, Passed Away Aug. 25 at Home

Elizabeth “Missie” Lundeen, 68, passed away Friday August 25, 2023 in her sleep at her home in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Missie was born July 30, 1955 in Lexington, KY to the late E.G. and Betty Adams, and was the oldest of four children.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Elizabeth “Missie” Lundeen, 68, passed away Friday August 25, 2023 in her sleep at her home in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Missie was born July 30, 1955 in Lexington, KY to the late E.G. and Betty Adams, and was the oldest of four children.

Missie attended Frankfort High School and went on to graduate Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University in 1977 with a degree in Political Science.

She married Mitch Lundeen in June 1977 and they had two wonderful loving sons, Mitchell and Stewart.

She is survived by her husband, sons Mitchell (Blair), Stewart and her five grandchildren (Trey, Camryn, Palmer, Riley and Reese) whom absolutely adored her.

Missie pursued a career in banking and achieved Vice President of the national division at Southeast Bank before deciding to be a stay at home mother to raise “her boys.” She never missed a single sporting event in which the boys participated and there were many.

Her proudest accomplishment were her sons. She had been an active member of the Junior League, St. Thomas Episcopal Church and Riviera Country Club.

Missie’s passion was cooking and entertaining friends at her home. She loved Ocean Reef, fishing and diving. She tremendously enjoyed traveling and cruising, while seeing many parts of the world.

She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
