Florida Tech Men’s Soccer Ranked Among Top 5 Nationwide for First Time in Two Decades

BREVARD COUNTY • MELOURNE, FLORIDA – After an undefeated opening weekend, Florida Tech men’s soccer moved to No.5 in the season’s first United Soccer Coaches Top 25 ranking.

This is the first time since 1993-94 that Tech has been ranked Top 5 in the nation in back-to-back seasons.

The Panthers picked up a pair of impressive road wins during their road trip to Wingate, North Carolina, knocking off No.24 Lander 5-1 and then taking down No. 14 Wingate, by a score of 4-1.

Tech has held their opponents to just 16 shots through two games, allowing just two goals.

The Crimson and Gray are one of three SSC teams to be recognized in this week’s poll, with No. 13 Rollins and RV Barry.

The Panthers will look to continue their great start to the season as they are set to host Saint Leo for their first home game of the season on Thursday, Sept. 7 at Rick Stottler Field. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m.
