BOARD OF DIRECTORS; The Space Coast League of Cities proudly announced the installation of its new Board of Directors and Officers at the Regular Membership meeting held at the Greater Palm Bay Senior Center on January 8.

The Space Coast League of Cities works hard to advocate for local advocacy and Home Rule, especially at the local levels of government closest to the people. Home Rule empowers local governments to make decisions that directly reflect the unique needs, values, and aspirations of their communities.

It provides municipalities with the autonomy to enact and enforce laws tailored to address local challenges and opportunities. This local control fosters a deeper connection between elected officials and residents, promoting a government that is responsive and accountable.

By advocating for issues at the local level, communities can address concerns ranging from public safety and education to economic development and environmental sustainability.
