Teens From Brevard County Involved in Fatal Crash With Pedestrian on State Road 50

Florida Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash involving a pedestrian on State Road 50 that involved four young people from Brevard County on Sunday.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash involving a pedestrian on State Road 50 that involved four young people from Brevard County on Sunday.

Authorities say the crash happened Sunday morning when the driver of a Ford Escape was traveling westbound on State Road 50, west of Exeter Street. The pedestrian was walking south before he walked on the westbound lanes on State Road 50.

The pedestrian entered the roadway in a non-designated crosswalk area on State Road 50 for unknown reason.

As a result, the vehicle struck pedestrian where the 34-year-old man from Crossville died at the scene of crash.

The young people inside the vehicle were not injured and have been identified as:

– 17-year-old female from Titusville (Driver)

– 20-year-old female from Cocoa

– 17-year-old female from Cocoa Beach

– 16-year-old female from Titusville

The crash is still under investigation by FHP.
