Two Suspects Arrested in Melbourne After Police Raid Two Homes for Illegal Drug Activity

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne Police arrested multiple suspects on Thursday (October 19) at approximately 5 a.m. when members from the Melbourne Police Department’s (MPD) Special Investigations Unit (SIU), MPD SWAT, Brevard County Sheriff’s Office SWAT, West Melbourne Police Department’s SIU, Rockledge Police Department’s SIU, and DEA members conducted simultaneous search warrants at 2 locations in the City of Melbourne.

The suspects arrested 43-year-old Peter E. Curtin and 25-year-old Brian K. Fellows.

Fellows was charged with Possession of Cannabis >20 gm & Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, while Curtain was charged with Possession of Cocaine & Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Authorities recovered 30 gm of Fentanyl, 8.3 gm of Cocaine, 7.4 gm of Cannabis, various amounts of anabolic steroids and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.

One search was conducted at 1764 Bruman Terrace, and the second location was 1844 Madison Avenue, according to Lt. Ryan Schorer.

SIU detectives began investigating these two residential houses due to ongoing community complaints of drug activity.

Two occupants at the Bruman Terrace address attempted to flee on foot, but they were swiftly apprehended on a street just north of the property.

These search warrants resulted in the seizure of the following contraband items:

Narcotics

– 30 gm of Fentanyl
– 8.3 gm of Cocaine
– 7.4 gm of Cannabis
– various amounts of anabolic steroids
– numerous items of drug paraphernalia
