School is scheduled to open its doors to students in August 2024
WATCH: Brevard Public Schools hosted a topping-out ceremony at the new Mid-County Middle School in Viera. Superintendent Mark Rendell, School Board Chairman, and District 1 representative Megan Wright, along with District 5 representative Katye Campbell and Principal Cathy McNutt, were among the many in attendance for a tour around the school.
BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – Brevard Public Schools hosted a topping-out ceremony at the new Mid-County Middle School in Viera. Superintendent Mark Rendell, School Board Chairman, and District 1 representative Megan Wright, along with District 5 representative Katye Campbell and Principal Cathy McNutt, were among the many in attendance for a tour around the school.
The attendees were shown the locations of the classrooms, front office, cafetorium, gymnasium, locker rooms, track, and soccer field, and the progress that has been made.
Workers have been diligently engaged in the project since February 1. To commemorate their achievements so far, they were able to participate in a raffle to win amazing prizes.
“A special thank you goes to Wharton-Smith and BPS Facilities Services for their invaluable contributions to the construction of Brevard’s newest educational facility,” said Brevard Public Schools
The new Mid-County Middle School is scheduled to open its doors to students in August 2024.
