2023 STATS: 86 receptions, 1,504 yards and 24 touchdowns
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Cocoa Tigers four-star wide receiver Jayvan Boggs received the Florida Dairy Farmer Mr. Football award for the 2023 season on Wednesday.
Boggs won the award following a final round of voting by a statewide panel of high school football coaches and media representatives.
In an extremely close contest, with five finalists receiving at least four first-place votes, Boggs captured five of the 25-first-place votes and finished with 107 points.
The Florida Dairy Farmers High School Sports Award program exemplifies Florida Dairy Darmers’ commitment to the state’s youth.
2023 FINAL VOTING RESULTS
■ Jayvan Boggs, Cocoa 107 total points (5 first-place votes)
■ Myles Graham, Bucholz 98 total points
■ Ennio Yapoor, Norland 97 total points
■ LJ McCray, Mainland 87 total points
The Cocoa Tigers finished the 2023 season 14-1 overall and claimed their sixth state championship in program history, their second title under head coach Ryan Schneider after defeating the Bradford Tornadoes 20-6 in Tallahassee.
“We put in the hard work through the summer and the spring, fought through adversity, and made it happen,” said Ohio State commit wide receiver Jayvan Boggs when asked how it felt winning back-to-back state titles.
Class of 2025 4-star wideout Jayvan Boggs finished the season with 86 receptions, 1,504 yards and 24 touchdowns. Boggs announced his commitment to play college football at Ohio State University back in October.
