The historic seasons for both the Florida Tech Men’s and Women’s soccer programs continue as both teams have punched their ticket to the 2023 NCAA Tournament Final Four in Matthews, N.C. at the Sportsplex at Matthews. This marks the first time since 2007 that two programs from the same institution have made the NCAA final four and the eighth overall.

Florida Tech’s men’s soccer team will face three-seeded Colorado State University-Pueblo on Thursday, Dec. 7 at 8 p.m.

This marks the first time since 2007 that two programs from the same institution have made the NCAA final four and the eighth overall.

This is the first time in Panther Athletics history that both soccer programs have made the NCAA Tournament in the same year.

Fans should note that since this is an NCAA Tournament event, tickets are required for all fans. The pricing for tickets is as follows: General Admission – $15, Student with valid ID – $10, and Senior Citizen (Ages 65+) – $10. All sessions can be purchased for $25.

Men’s soccer makes their fifth trip to the final four and the first since 1993. The Panthers have earned the two-seed and will face three-seeded Colorado State University-Pueblo on Thursday, Dec. 7 at 8 p.m.

Top-seeded Franklin Pierce will take on fourth-seeded Lewis at 5 p.m. The winners of Thursday’s matches will then meet on Saturday, Dec. 9, at 3 p.m. for the 2023 National Championship.

Led by head coach Robin Chan, in his 19^th season, the Panthers enter the Final Four with a 13-2-5 overall record on the season. Tech entered the tournament with a first-round bye after being selected as the two seed.

SPACE COAST SPORTS HALL OF FAME 2018 INDUCTEE: Robin Chan anchored the midfield for the Florida Tech Panthers where during his four-year college soccer career he was a three-time All-Sunshine State Conference selection, and 1st team All-South and All-American selection in 1990.

All three of Tech’s matches to advance to the final four have been nothing short of thrilling. In the second-round match, the Panthers faced fellow SSC member Lynn at Rick Stottler Field, where it went to double overtime. The Panthers came up victorious in the second overtime period to advance 2-1.

In the next round, the Panthers met with West Florida. Tech came back from behind twice, including the final minute of overtime, to keep their season alive. The Panthers eventually outlasted UWF in Penalty Kicks, 4-2.

The quarterfinal match was no different, as Tech battled with Limestone to 2-2 in regulation, pushing it to overtime. The game-winner once again came in the final minute of overtime, as Jacopo Ghezzi sent the ball to the far post, where Pisaneschi headed it to Amaral, and Amaral converted to claim the Super Region 2 title and advance to the Final Four.

Women’s Soccer makes its second Final Four appearance and the first since 2010. After reseeding, the Panthers earned the top seed heading into the Final Four and will take on fourth-seeded Point Loma on Thursday, Dec. 7 at 11 a.m.

Second-seeded Adelphi will take on third-seeded Washburn at 2 p.m. The winners of Thursday’s matches will then meet on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 12 p.m.

Led by head coach Ryan Moon, in this third season, the Panthers head into the Final Four with a 17-2-3 overall record. Tech was selected as the three seed entering tournament play.

In the opening round, Tech rolled to a 3-0 win over fellow SSC member Rollins. The second round saw a much tougher matchup against top-seeded Lee. The Panthers came back from behind, scoring two second-half goals to send Tech to the Regional Finals.

The South Region Final saw Tech dominate SSC member Nova Southeastern as the Panthers cruised to a 3-1 win.

Tech met with Lenoir-Rhyne in the quarterfinal for a rematch of the 2021 quarterfinal. The Panthers got off to a hot start, taking a 4-1 lead into halftime. The Bears came into the second half with momentum and eventually tied it up by the 62nd minute. With just over three minutes left in the match, Josefine Nilsen sent a cross into the box, and Kate Frazier knicked it into the back of the net to give the Panthers a 5-4 victory.
