WATCH: Space Coast VanFest Opens Today at 11 a.m. at Space Coast Daily Park in Viera

WATCH: Have you ever thought about selling your home and living the van life? Buying a nice vehicle, converting it to your unique customization and then taking to the open road to explore and follow the great weather?

The Van fest is open to the public this weekend on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Tickets are available at the gate.

Space Coast Daily’s Giles Malone is on location at the first annual Vanest at Space Coast Daily Park in Viera. Meet Jane and Doug from Fairbanks, Alaska and Florida who do just that. Space Coast Daily is also meeting some of the people who are exhibiting their converted vehicles and having fun in Viera on Florida’s Space Coast.

Here are a few key details that you’ll need to know:

For those attending for the day (General Admission):

■ Entry is from 11am to 8 pm on Saturday 1/27, and from 11am to 6pm on Sunday 1/28.
■ Kids 12 and under are FREE!
■ Everyone must present a valid ID for alcohol.

What to bring:

■ BYOCC (bring your own camp chair!)
■ Your tickets (digital or paper)
■ Your friends! The more the merrier!
■ Money for food trucks & vendors (most take cards, but bring cash just in case)
■ An umbrella in case of rain or excessive sun
■ Your furry (well behaved) friends! On a leash, of course.

For those camping at VanFest:

■ Entry is from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday 10/26.
■ If you cannot arrive during this window, email us at lance@vanfestusa.com and we’ll figure it out!
■ Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. If you wish to park with friends, you must arrive together.
We will not have hookups at the event – you must be 100% self-contained! We will have bathrooms available at all hours, but no showers.
