Titans advance to 4-0 on the season
BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball team picked up another win on Friday at the Veterans Classic at Indian River State College.
The Titans improved to 4-0 with a 68-50 victory over Atlantic Cape.
Atlantic Cape took advantage of the Titan’s slow start and led 15-1 before the Titans got things going. They would continue to battle back and tie the game 20-20 with 6 minutes and 32 seconds left in the first half.
They would take their first lead with 3:58 left in the first half on a putback to give the Titans a 26-25 lead. They would finish the first half on a 7-2 run to lead 33-27.
They would lead by double digits early in the second half and held it the rest of the way.
Matija Zuzic led the attack with 22 points, scoring 11 in each half. Teammate Luca Colceag had 13 points, all in the second half while Carlos Cortijo had 12 points in the win.
Eastern Florida State College will be back in action Saturday at the Veterans Classic, facing Prestige Worldwide at 2 p.m. at Indian River State College. Admission to the games at Indian River is free and you can watch the game live online at the IRSC Athletics YouTube page.
