titans 10th straight appearance in the tournament
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball team is the No. 1 seed for the 2024 FCSAA/NJCAA Region VIII Men’s Basketball Championship at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, Florida.
The Titans are 26-4 overall and won the Citrus Conference regular season title with a 14-2 record. Eastern Florida State College has advanced to the semifinals in each of the past three seasons and is making its 10th straight appearance in the tournament.
Eastern Florida State College will open the Men’s Basketball Championship on Wednesday at 6 p.m. against No. 8 seed Hillsborough Community College in Niceville.
Eastern Florida State College has won the past five meetings against the Hawks, including the final game of the regular season – an 83-72 win on March 2.
“We are excited about the opportunity at the state tournament. We are in the best Region in the country and we know all eight teams in the state tournament are extremely good. We will be focused and prepared,” Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball coach Jeremy Shulman said.
General admission tickets for games at Northwest Florida State College are $15 per day and $40 for the tournament.
