Florida Tech Panthers Men’s Basketball Cracks Top-25 NABC National Poll Rankings

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Florida Tech men’s basketball team broke into the National Association of Basketball Coaches Division II National Rankings and was slotted into the No. 25 position, as announced by the organization on Tuesday.

This is the first time that the Panthers have been nationally ranked since Dec. 2, 2014, when Tech also earned a No. 25 ranking from the NABC.

The Panthers are off to one of their best starts in program history for the 2023-24 season with a 9-1 overall record and a 2-1 conference record with the only loss coming in overtime, 97-94, to Embry-Riddle on Dec. 8.

Tech currently ranks second nationally in field goal percentage defense (37.5%) and ranks fourth nationally in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.82).

The Panthers are back in action tonight, Jan. 3 when they host Palm Beach Atlantic in a midweek conference matchup. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Charles and Ruth Clemente Center in Melbourne.
