SHERIFF WAYNE IVEY: Deputies responded to a local bar in Malabar where Jose Maldonado was threatening the bar patrons and staff with a gun and had even pointed the gun at one of the employees head. As Deputies arrived on scene they quickly identified Maldonado as the subject with the gun and took him into custody. New Brevard County Fire Rescue Viera Fire Station 49 Now Under Construction On Bower Lane

W+J Construction will work with The Viera Company and Architects RZK, Inc. to complete a new build for Brevard County Fire Rescue Viera Fire Station 49. Located in the southwest area of Viera on Bower Lane, this future station will improve response times for existing and new businesses and residents of the area. The 8,921 square-foot, single-story fire station will be home to an apparatus bay, bunker room with a lieutenant bunker room, a day room as well as training, and an exercise room.
