BREVARD COUNTY • PATRICK SPACE FORCE BASE, FLORIDA – Pararescuemen, combat rescue officers, and aircrew flight equipment Airmen assigned to the 308th Rescue Squadron conducted static-line and military free-fall jumps from an HC-130J Combat King II aircraft during a water rescue training exercise nearby Patrick Space Force Base.

Simultaneously, two 308th RQS Aircrew Flight Equipment Airmen conducted static-line jumps alongside the PJs to maintain their proficiencies.

The 308th RQS trains and maintains the Air Force’s dedicated rescue capability for Department of Defense personnel, in support of Combatant Commander’s wartime objectives.

Air Force Pararescuemen are the only DoD elite combat forces specifically organized, trained, equipped, and postured to conduct full spectrum Personnel Recovery to include both conventional and unconventional combat rescue operations.
