Community Celebrates Health First Palm Bay Hospital Medical Office Renovations With Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The gleaming, modern second floor of Palm Bay Hospital’s newly-renovated medical office complex still had that brand new-construction smell, shine, and professionally-staged everything-in-its-perfect-place look.

And dozens of Health First leaders, associates, clinicians and local Palm Bay business and government leaders were there for a first-look tour and ribbon-cutting ceremony, unveiling Palm Bay Hospital’s renovations, all designed and created with the customer and associate experience top-of-mind.

This newly renovated facility will provide an opportunity for both outpatients and inpatients to be seen in one place, streamlining the continuity of care. The new 16,000-square-foot space features 30 state-of-the-art exam rooms, two procedure rooms, eight provider offices, and basic radiology services.

“At Health First, we strive each day to create customer-centric care experiences that delight those we serve by enhancing the wellness and health of our community. Our work and care spaces are a huge component of this. And after a year-and-a-half-long renovation project, we’re excited to bring physicians and surgeons together in one building,” said Kyle Baxter, Palm Bay Hospital Administrator.

“Today, we celebrate the completion of this work, which will provide a home to general medicine, as well as cardiology, cardiac electrophysiology, gastroenterology, and an orthopedic center,” said Dr. Carline Quander. “As our community continues to grow, we are committed to meeting the needs of our patients, associates, and providers by offering our customers exceptional care – in an exceptional environment.”

While the new facility is certain to enhance the customer and associate experience at Palm Bay Hospital, Health First’s commitment to delivering outstanding services and facilities may have yet another valuable benefit as a recruitment tool – attracting candidates, including providers, nursing staff and other clinical associates, according to Health First Medical Group Community Services Director Lia Aylmer.

“Investment in the newest equipment and facilities is always a positive in terms of promoting your organization to potential candidates,” said Aylmer.

“For example, while recently interviewing a physician candidate, after the formal interview, we brought her up here to tour the facility. She was very impressed, and I believe that was one of the many reasons that helped solidify a decision to join us here at Health First.”
