final home game of the season set for Saturday at 4 p.m.
BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball team is ranked No. 1 in the NJCAA Region 8 Coaches Poll released on Monday morning.
The Titans improved to 12-2 in the Citrus Conference with wins over Daytona State College, who was No. 1 in the poll, and Miami Dade College last week.
After the wins, Eastern Florida State College is in first place in the conference with two games remaining in the regular season.
“It is an honor that we are all very proud of. I am just so thankful that I get to coach this group of guys every day,” Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball coach Jeremy Shulman said.
“And just like the last time we were ranked number one, in 2017, our guys know the thing that matters is to keep improving, and proving it daily on the court.”
In 2017 the Titans were ranked No. 1 in the state poll three times, two straight weeks and again later in the season.
That season the Titans reached the National Championship Game, placing second in the nation to host Hutchinson Community College.
Eastern Florida State College will host Hillsborough Community College on Saturday afternoon in the final home game of the season. The men’s game will begin at 4 p.m. at Titan Field House
