BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Health First Health Plans was recently recognized by the Space Coast Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI) for two honors: Project of the Year and Rookie Project Manager of the Year.

Health First’s Integrated Care Program (ICP) project was selected as the Project of the Year.

This project has not only demonstrated remarkable success but has also significantly contributed to the enhancement of healthcare outcomes for some of the community’s vulnerable members.

“The Integrated Care Program (ICP) was initially designed to improve health outcomes for some of the community’s sickest members through in-clinic visits. But with a higher number of eligible members across all market areas, the potential for greater impact and efficiency was evident,” said Alison Aluli-Imberman, Health First Health Plans Vice President, Operations

“This project aimed to expand and scale the ICP program in innovative ways, making it accessible to a larger pool of eligible members and improving the wellness of the community. We’re very excited and proud to be recognized for this work and its impact on the Space Coast, and this project and its successful outcome could not have been possible without the partnership and dedication of our physicians and providers.

Additionally, Shanna Dunne, PMP, was voted Rookie Project Manager of the Year.

“Shanna’s exceptional performance as a project manager over the past three years has made a profound impact on our projects, teams, and the overall success of our organization,” said Kamela Sooknanan, Health First Health Plan’s Vice President, Population Health.

One of Shanna’s standout qualities is her unwavering focus on continuous improvement. She fearlessly asks questions, seeks out new knowledge, and actively engages with project stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of our business needs. Her commitment to acquiring and applying relevant business knowledge has consistently ensured that she provides invaluable guidance to our project teams. This is a tremendous honor for Shanna and she will no doubt continue to excel and inspire others in her project management journey.”

“Identifying new ways and opportunities to improve health care, and the delivery of that care for our community, is a hallmark of Health First,” said Frank Letherby, Sr. Vice President for Community Health at Health First.

“Through research, ingenuity, and a passion to serve, we are continually able to push the envelope and deliver on our commitment to help create a healthier and stronger Brevard – especially for some of our most vulnerable and underserved. I am proud of the efforts of Shanna, Alison,  Kamela, their teams, and our providers to imagine and help create a better tomorrow.”
