The Island Dermatology team has extended a welcome to the public to visit their new office at 6470 U.S. Hwy. 1 in Rockledge, where a grand opening celebration will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 19. The extraordinary team at the new Suntree/Rockledge practice includes medical director and supervising physician Dr. Frank Venzara II and board-certified nurse practitioners Kathleen Verpaele and Nichole Venzara Deeks.
Dr. Venzara II has served Brevard patients with plastic and reconstructive surgery for almost half a century. Island Dermatology & Wellness co-founders Kathleen and Nichole both grew up along the Space Coast and have chosen to raise their families here. Healing is in their DNA, as is collaboration and compassion.
Kathleen, who earned top honors while pursuing her nursing practitioner degree from the University of Central Florida, has practiced dermatology for more than a decade and has five years of experience in internal medicine. A certified master injector, Kathleen is also experienced in cosmetic services.
Healing is all in the family for Nichole, who is Dr. Venzara II’s daughter and the sister of highly respected board-certified ophthalmologist Dr. Frank Venzara III. A former pediatric intensive care nurse, Nichole also served in congenital and adult cardiovascular intensive care for 10 years.
She earned top honors at the University of Tampa pursuing her family nurse practitioner degree and has been serving the community as a family nurse practitioner in Brevard County for the past five years.
She is certified by the American Association of Aesthetic Medicine as a master in injection and cosmetic procedures.
Kathleen and Nichole designed their new practice as a “one-stop” office where patients can conveniently access a spectrum of care and technology for both their dermatological needs as well as for their general health.
“We are dedicated to providing the best care for our patients, both inside and out,” said Kathleen.
