The first round of the 2019-20 War On I-4 was a defensive battle. UCF, which held South Florida to 35.7 percent shooting from the floor, won it on a defensive stop in the final moments that gave the Knights a 55-54 victory over the visiting Bulls.
UCF added 17 student-athletes to its football roster and these individuals will be headed to Orlando to play for the Knights beginning in 2020.
For the fourth time in history, the UCF football team is headed to the Tampa/St. Petersburg area for a postseason bowl game, this time to play in the Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl. UCF (9-3) will meet Conference USA representative Marshall (8-4) at 2:30 p.m. EST on Monday, Dec. 23, 2019, in 40,277-seat Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, in the Gasparilla Bowl.

I warned you that the high school football season goes by in the blink of an eye. As we are approach Week 3 this Friday night some of the mainstays in the county are off to less than stellar starts.
